Field Irrigation
Agriculture and farming are vital to the nation’s economy, and efficient water management is a vital part of farming. With 18 years experience, FramanAgridev Irrigation provide water management and irrigation for agriculture, ranging from water for crops to systems for odour management. For animal health FramanAgridev provide solutions for animal cooling and drinking water supplies; and for field crops FramanAgridev provide a range of highly efficient field drip irrigation systems. With produce prices dependent on the quality and uniformity of the crop, irrigation systems can ensure that water is available to the crop during dry spells. Generally, field irrigation systems consist of lines of drip tape or pipe laid on the surface of the field or ploughed into the soil. Drip systems ensure very little water is lost through evaporation and their low flows allow large areas to be watered from the available water supply.
Water is brought through a header pipe that runs the length of the field. A sub-lateral pipe then divides this water supply into crop irrigation zones. The number of zones is dependent upon the size of the field and the available water supply. Each zone has a sub-lateral pipe from which drip lines run, watering each row of the crop. Drip tapes provide a low cost method of field irrigation, with each tape being thrown away or recycled once the crop has finished. Drip pipes, on the other hand, have thicker walls and can be re-used. Drip pipes tend to have sophisticated drip nozzles which can be pressure-compensated. Non-leakage drippers close once the irrigation cycle is complete, holding the unused water in the pipe for the next cycle. This makes them ideal for crops that need frequent watering, such as strawberries.
Field and crop irrigation systems can either be controlled manually or by battery operated controllers located out in the field. Using plans supplied by the client, FramanAgridev will provide detailed costing and specifications for individual field irrigation projects.
Micro Irrigation
Water Dynamics micro-irrigation systems enable precise watering of plants on or below the soil surface in situations like greenhouses and nurseries. Micro Irrigation is low pressure irrigation method which saves water and fertilizer applying water slowly and directly to the root zone in quantities that approach the consumptive use of the plants. In addition, nutrient levels which are applied with water through the system can be controlled precisely.
We can help with all aspects of your system from the control station including the pump, backflow prevention system, chemical injection system for fertilizers and other chemicals. Combinations of different filters, main line valve and flowmeter. Micro irrigation systems have many potential advantages.
These include:
Water Savings
Reduced Flow Rates
Application of Chemicals
Improved Quality of the Crop
Adaptation to any Topography
